The Federation brings together professional organists, students, musicologists, organ builders, historians and organ music lovers along with organ concert societies and music publishers.

The FQAO is a member of the Fédération Francophone des Amis de l'Orgue (FFAO), its French counterpart who groups 220 French and francophile associations representing more than 12 000 members.
